Human Resources Generalist

Come join us at Marian Manor! We are a Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm for over 70 years. Our mission is to treat all staff and residents with love and respect.

We are seeking to hire a Human Resources Generalist.

The HR Generalist will assist in various HR activities, ensuring the smooth execution of HR processes and contributing to a positive employee experience.

Human Resources Generalist Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's Degree or HR Certification is a plus).
  • Long-Term Care experience required.
  • Three years minimum experience in a comparable role.
  • Proven experience in HR roles or related functions.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Human Resources Generalist Job Summary:

  • Recruitment in collaboration with Carmelite System Office for job posting, screening resumes, interviewing and candidate selection.
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding, including orientation, paperwork, Relias in-service training, and accurate record keeping.
  • Serve as a point of contact for inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and other HR-related matters.
  • Address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Assist facility leadership in all internal investigations and regulatory corrective actions.
  • Assist in the performance appraisal process by providing completion schedules, guidance to managers and employees.
  • Support benefits enrollment and administration, including health, retirement, and other benefits.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Process HR-related documentation, such as employment contracts, terminations, and status changes.
  • Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
  • Support regulatory reporting and compliance including Massachusetts OIG, OSHA, CDC, and other regulatory agency compliance and reporting.
  • Coordinate employee training initiatives, both mandatory and development focused.
  • Participate in HR projects such as diversity and inclusion initiatives.
