Chief Executive Officer

Space Coast Discovery

Job Description

Full job description

About us: When you walk through the doors you may notice the cheerful staff, brightly-painted walls, or children skipping to their classroom in anticipation of a new school day, but that’s just scratching the surface. With over thirty years in the books, Space Coast Discovery, formerly Space Coast Early Intervention Center, has made a name as one of the most forward-thinking schools in Brevard County, with countless success stories from students and parents alike.

Our approach to education starts with an individual, not a pre-set curriculum. We aim to encourage the strengths of each child while building up their weaknesses. So, if we see that your child excels in art, we might study Monet’s work and then use impressionist techniques to create a landscape painting. If your child struggles in math, we might use counting beads and pipe cleaners to obtain mastery in a way that doesn’t feel overwhelming. Even the students that come in discouraged not only find their place but are able to excel here. While we are educators, many of us are also parents and at the end of the day, we all want what’s best for our kids.We were founded by Betsy Farmer, a mother who wanted to provide what no other school could for her child. We haven’t side-stepped from that foundation since we first began. Combining state-of-the-art technology with innovative teaching strategies and an environment bustling with creative energy, our inclusive classrooms provide not only academic but social skills needed in today’s diverse world.
