Position Summary
The Manager of Fund Marketing reports to the firm's Senior Vice President and is focused on fundraising new equity, while also supporting investor relations communication/ reporting for the firm's existing assets under management.
- Fund Marketing- Focused on developing and implementing new strategies to attract and retain institutional investors including endowments, foundations, pension funds, family offices, etc.
- Investor Relations - Maintains existing investor relation communication and assists in quarterly and annual reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to attract and retain investors
- Update, enhance and maintain all fund marketing material
- Presentations books and all embedded materials I charts
- Assist in the preparation of fun marking materials - Sales Deck and Private Placement Memorandum's (PPMs)
- Marketing Campaigns: Design and execute targeted marketing campaigns, by region, that successfully communicate the firm's strategy and actively solicit opportunistic O&G deals
- Contact prospective investors to request meetings as directed
- Organize and assist in the management of road shows, conferences and meetings
- Manage "virtual data room"
- Provide support as needed for due diligence questions
- Analyze and compare fund terms I assist in monitoring market
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and sustain relationships with investors, engaging in all sales and marketing initiatives.
- Develop and maintain periodic communications for LPs (newsletters)
- Maintain contact database and files on LP's, including detailed and organized notes
- Assist in certain direct communications with LP's including Investor Questionnaires
- Attend and assist in annual investor meeting planning
- Industry Networking: Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and other networking opportunities to promote the firm, strengthening existing connections and establishes new relationships
- Reporting: Provide regular reports on sales activities, market trends, and client feedback to senior management.
- Research and get company listed in appropriate directories and data services
- Ensure information on FEM on file at investment consultants and information sources is current and up to date.
- Assists with quarterly reporting to existing investor base
Qualifications:
Sales Acumen: Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and achieving targets within the financial services industry.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including logical and summary-level management or investor reporting, ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Prior work experience and/or knowledge of the upstream oil and gas or financial services/ private equity industries is not required but would be a plus
- Self-starter and shows initiative to gather required information from a disparate organization and from independent sources.
- Works well in a growing, dynamic environment.
Education/Experience: Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, MBA or CFA (a plus)
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales and marketing
Computer and Technical Skills:
Strong skills in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook Business Contact Manager, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) are required.
