A research assistant is needed to complete field work and compile datasets for Fraser fir sites in Western NC. Additionally, the person will prepare and submit manuscripts summarizing results from studies focused on longleaf pine plantation establishment and growth.
Minimum Experience/Education
Applicant must have completed a MS in forest ecology, have experience with collecting and measuring tree core data, and using CooRecorder, MeasureJ2X and R packages for analysis.
Department Required Skills
Candidate must have a NC drivers license.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Preferred background includes prior experience writing scientific manuscripts, analyzing forest ecosystem datasets, following research protocols and field skills.
