Adjunct Faculty - Philosophy
Job Description
Position Summary
The Humanities Division at Mount Mary University is recruiting a pool of qualified individuals for part-time adjunct teaching positions to teach undergraduate courses in Philosophy. These positions are filled on an as-needed basis.
As needs arise, the Division Chair will access the applicant pool, contact candidates, and proceed through the screen and hire process.
Primary Responsibilities
- Teach an undergraduate course in Philosophy and/or co-teach an undergraduate course that combines Philosophy and Theology.
- Assignments may include day or evening courses and may be offered in delivery formats including in-person, hybrid, or online
Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in the discipline or subfield of the course(s) taught
- Commitment to quality teaching in the liberal arts and to the social justice mission of the university
- Experience teaching diverse learners using inclusive practices is preferred
